This article shows the projected payouts from the LEOFF 1 Pension system. Did you know the system is still in surplus? The surplus is still in excess of $400 million and the stock market continues to climb. As of November 23rd, the DOW closed at 10,450.95 and was up 132 points today. This page shows the estimated future payments from the LEOFF 1 pension system. If you add them up you will see they will amount to $7.9 billion. To meet this obligation, the system needs approximately $4.2 billion based on the investment return assumptions.

As of October 2009 the Law Enforcement Officers' & Fire Fighters' Plan 1 had $4,637,742,864. So, we remain in surplus.
