Jerry founded LEOFF1.Net in 2000 and is the editor of the site.
Unfortunately there has been a lot of internal strife going on within the LEOFF 1 community. The RSPOA has been attempting to secure access to Coalition information to which they, as a member organization, are entitled both under the bylaws and the RCW's.
For some reason some Coalition board members are frightened by this request and have refused to allow anyone but the President and Vice President access.
This is is violation of their own rules, but personalities are involved and positions have hardend. Efforts to find an acceptable comprimise have been rejected.
It is almost like a comic farce, but the results undermine the ability to build a coordinated effort on the part of all LEOFF 1 members.
Since I am president of the RSPOA and still on the Coalition board I will not be discussing this issue in depth on this site. Once I am prepared to do so I will offer the Coalition president equal space on this site to present his perception of the issues.
