I hope every LEOFF 1 will get on the phone, write emails and in any way possible contact your legislators and ask them to oppose HB 2350 and SB 6563.

Why? The Council of Fire Fighters and WACOPS are tying an end run.They got Senator Lisa Brown to support SB 6563 and to push it in the Senate.If they can pass it in the Senate there is the possibility it could become one of those NIB (Necessary to Implement the Budget) bills that can bypass the normal hearing process in the house.Since it has an supposed $75 to $80 million dollar savings to the state it will be hard for the legislature to pass it up unless they can find the money some place else.

Your calls should target the Senate and should include your own Senator, all of the Senators who sponsored the bill and any other Senators you have the time to reach.We really need to stop this bill in the Senate and keep it from becoming some sort of runaway train.

At the same time you should keep calling your representatives as well.
